Source: INPUT B2G Exchange Blog

Source: INPUT B2G Exchange Blog

In a report released this week, the House Homeland Security Subcommittee managed to congratulate DHS for achieving the Agency’s small business contracting goals while exploring the meaning behind findings. While we wait and see if GAO will take the bait and investigate the impact of DHS' (and most federal agencies') counting methodology, Rep. Thompson's message to DHS is 'spread the wealth'. According to Thompson, Congress would like to see more money spread to small and disadvantaged business programs, spread through more vendors within those categories and spread throughout more of the fiscal year. And generally when that's the moral of the story, it can't be a bad thing.” -Jeremy Potter, Senior Analyst, Federal Opportunities
